There are many ways to add a little style to you backyard party or gathering.
Kevin Miller, owner of Twigs and Branches Floral, dropped by the Fox2 News Patio Saturday to showcase some of his ideas.
Grab a Blanket and Pillow
Outdoor pillows and blankets are becoming a lot more popular now so just grab a couple tin bucks or large baskets and fill them with outdoor blankets and pillows for guest to grab when they come over. Makes everyone comfy and no one has to bring anything! You can get most of these items at any home decor store.
Simple and inexpensive way to decorate for your movie night with little to no cost. I just took a few lanterns I had at home. Grabbed a few candles and filled the candles with popcorn! Yes popcorn! Super fun and perfect for displaying on the food table or out on the lawn where you watching your movie!
Grab some old vases and a can of white spray paint and spray them white. You can get vases at thrift stores or old vases from flowers you received will do! Go to your local craft store or most any stores and grab a roll of tickets. You can hot glue the roll of tickets to the bottom of the vase. So that the tickets will become a plate to display goodies you either made or bought!
I used a popcorn container and added an plastic insert inside. Cut a piece of floral oasis to the size of the insert and soak it. Put the oasis inside the insert and all you need is white hydrangea. Depending on the size of your popcorn container will determine the amount of hydrangea stems. I used 4 stems in mine. Cut the hydrangea on an angle and cluster them together. Once your finished it will look like your popcorn container is over flowing with popcorn (hydrangea). I grabbed a roll of tickets and cut pieces to shoot out of the popcorn! So cute!
Lots of different way to display your goodies! I used tin buckets, metal trays, and even a wood box covered in moss. I took a wood box that I had made 12x12x3”. Filed it with floral oasis and covered it in moss. I took lollipops and stuck them in the oasis in rows for a fun way for kids and adults to grab food and candy.
Movie Popcorn Garland
Usually when you buy the popcorn containers it comes with lots of containers. More than you probably need! I took some red ribbon and draped in across the front of my food table. I than took clothes pins and attached them to the ribbon every so often. Such a cute way to reuse them!
Table Linen and Napkin Fold
Any tables you might have can be covered in a red and white striped linen! Totally pulls off the popcorn movie night theme. I used a red cotton napkin and rolled it. You will probably have tickets left over
from so of the crafts so I made napkin rings out of the tickets! Easy with just a little glue or tape to roll them and insert the napkin.
