On The Border House Margarita Recipe
For a Single Margarita
Salt the rim of a 12 oz. glass. Fill with cubed ice.
In a shaker, combine…
1 ½ oz. Tequila (the better the Tequila, the better your ‘rita will be)
½ oz. Triple Sec
4 oz. Sweet & Sour
Stir together (or cap the shaker, and shake ingredients), and pour over ice. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge. If you prefer your margarita frozen, you can pour all the ingredients – including the ice – into your blender, and blend it to a slushy consistency.
For a Pitcher of Margaritas (yields approx 4 ‘ritas)
Fill a pitcher with cubed ice.
In your blender, or other container, combine …
6 oz. Tequila
2 oz. Triple Sec
16 oz. Sweet & Sour
Blend ingredients together and pour over ice in pitcher. If you prefer frozen margaritas, put all the ingredients – including the ice – into your blender, and blend it to a slushy consistency. Serve in salted-rim glasses, with lime garnishes.
Fun ‘Rita Hint: Give your margaritas an extra kick by adding fresh fruit purees (strawberry, mango, pineapple), fruit juices, or even topping them off with your favorite liqueur.
