Detroit Public Schools Start Fresh

Children will be back on school buses and in classrooms in Detroit starting on Tuesday, and the Detroit Public Schools Community District is celebrating the beginning of the school year with a fresh start.  

Interim Superintendent Alycia Meriweather stopped by the Fox2 Studios Sunday morning to discuss the coming school year and talked about high-level of excitement and big challenges ahead, including teacher vacancies and academic achievement.
