Greater Grace super college fair

Parents and students expected to converge on Greater Grace Temple to get answers on everything from financial aid to admissions to college testing, apprenticeships and jobs.

It's the biggest college fair in Wayne County, and offers a tremendous opportunity for parents, college-bound seniors, and other students to gain valuable information on getting into college, apprenticeships and jobs.

Greater Grace Temple presents "It's More Than A College Fair" - College & Career Expo with more than 50 college recruiters providing answers on admissions, scholarships, financial aid, testing, and other matters.

Yet, that's only part of the story, as info on skilled trades, technical schools, the armed forces, law enforcement opportunities and much more will be included.  It happens at Greater Grace Temple, 23500 W. Seven Mile Road on November 3-4, 2016, (Thurs. /Fri. 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. / Thurs. Only - 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

Representatives from some of the nation's top colleges from historically black colleges and universities will be present, as well as a number of community colleges.  Admission is FREE.

"As Detroit undergoes its massive renaissance, It's More Than a College Fair will consist of two-year-community colleges, four-year colleges/universities, skilled trades, apprenticeships, vocational schools, technical schools, armed forces, public safety and career representatives," says organizer Lucille White of Greater Grace Temple.

The college fair is absolutely free and open to everyone. For more information call Greater Grace Temple at (313) 543-6000 or contact Daryel Peake, Executive Director of the Masters Commission at 313-543-6059.
