DETROIT, Mich. - Detroit Pop-Up Alliance, a cooperation of local pop-up restaurants, is hosting a fundraiser on Sunday, September 10 from 12-4 p.m. at El Club. A total of 11 pop-up restaurants are participating. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Greater Houston Community Foundation in support of Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts.
Christina Jones, co-organizer of the event, and Chef LaMont Mitchell, co-owner and Executive Chef with Simple Goodness Detroit, visited Fox 2 for a preview of the fundraiser.
Participating pop-up restaurants include Dr. Sushi, Detroit S.O.A.R., PotLuck Kitchen Detroit, The Cook's Crossing, Brunchify, Chef Max Daley, Fat Panda Kitchen, The Grim Feeder, Simple Goodness Detroit, and Geisha Girls. A $15 minimum donation is required for entry, which includes all you can eat food. El Club is located at 4114 Vernor Hwy in Detroit.
