Pewabic Pottery's Empty Bowl Fundraiser

Detroit's iconic Pewabic Pottery hosts its 24th annual Empty Bowl fundraiser to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan today at their historic studio, located at 10125 Jefferson Ave.

Jason Murphy, owner of the Russell Street Deli at Eastern Market, has been a long-time supporter of the event and dropped by the Fox2 Studios Saturday morning with a collection of delicious soups.

Student bowls are $5 and artist bowls range from $15-$40. Last year's event raised a record $17,000, which equated to 51,000 meals.
