Women of all ethnicities needed for breast tissue samples

(WJBK) - Women of all ethnicities are needed and encouraged to help in finding a cure for breast cancer. Researchers are looking for samples of healthy breast tissue during a collection event.

The collection event is at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit on Saturday, September 24 from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Woman ages 18 and older from all ethnicities are encouraged to donate, as researchers are hoping to understand the differences between healthy breast tissue in women from various cultures.

Registration is required, but the next event is currently full.
