In October, you see beautiful fall colors and also a lot of pink.
It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month and you'll see pink on our buddy Jay Towers.
Jay Towers will be wearing pink for the next 30 days or so to raise awareness.
"Real men wear pink," Towers said. "I have pink socks, pink ties. I've been on eBay like crazy, buying everything pink. We're doing it for breast cancer awareness.
"Obviously men all over Detroit are doing this and it sparks conversation."
"And also you're trying to raise money, not just conversation," said Deena Centofanti.
"Yes, people give money, I hope so," Towers said. "You can go online and find me and raise a little money here in Detroit."
Kerri Cross with the American Cancer Society came to visit and talk about Making Strides Saturday, Oct. 8 at Hart Plaza where 20,000 people are expected to come out.
"We are so excited," Cross said. "We invite everybody to come down and walk with us. Survivors, general participants, we can't wait to see everyone."
FOX 2: "Talk about how much money is raised and what that money goes to."
"Our goal is to raise $1.2 million this year," Cross said. "And that money goes to support programs, research and education both here in metro Detroit and across the state and nationwide."
Participants can show up and register at Hart Plaza that day of, or can register in advance.
Both Jay Towers and Deena Centofanti will be there. If you would like to know more, or sign up online by CLICKING HERE.
