FOX 2 invited viewers to join us with Five Do's and Five Don'ts as an easy guideline.
On the "Do" list was fruits and vegetables, lean proteins like chicken and fish, whole grains and water - shoot for 64 ounces a day,
On the "Don't" list was soda, salt, white flour products, fried food and sweets.
Tuesday was the weigh-in and although the goal was to lose about five pounds, we won't know the station's results of Team Deena vs. Team Roop until Friday.
As team leader, Fox 2's Roop Raj said the experience was a positive one.
"It felt like I got a lot of steps in," he said. "I did pretty much 10,000 steps a day. And I feel healthier.
"I lost a pound. Every pound you lose is good, and they say it helps with your heart."
Deena checked her results out and lost almost three pounds.
The good news is that everyone is getting healthier together.
