Fourteen-year-old Trevor Sullivan was a tough, seemingly healthy football player until he went to the hospital in February with a cold that wouldn't quit.
He then received the devastating news that he has a heart defect that was never diagnosed, and is now suffering severe heart failure.
The community has raised tens of thousands of dollars already, and are holding additional fundraisers in hopes of helping the family even more.
Friday, March 27 all ages are welcome to the Yoga Shelter in West Bloomfield. The event starts at 7:15 p.m. and costs $10.
Then, on Friday, April 10, is an ice skating benefit at the Detroit Skating Club in Bloomfield Hills. That event begins at 7 p.m. and also costs $10. All ages are welcome to watch Olympic, world and national skaters show off their stuff before you enjoy an open skate.
