Substitute pills for natural supplements and pass the straw test

Men's Health Week means we're taking care of all the men out there. That means caring for every part of your body from head to toes and everything in between. And we do mean everything.

Dr. Mark Moyad, a urologist at the University of Michigan, wants to get people off pills.

"You should only take a pill if you really really need it. I'm trying to get people off pills," Dr. Moyad said.

First up, calcium. Don't take the pills. Instead swap in two cups of almond milk a day to get your 455 milligrams of calcium  per serving. Do that every day and your supplements will be no more.

Also eat a 1/3 of a cup of all bran buds. This will help your digestional tract and allows you to skip the pills and powders. It's not the only thing that helps that part of your body. Drink sauerkraut juice. The 'magic elixir' has lactic acid which means it's a natural probiotic.

Got a testosterone issue? No magic pill, just skip the sugar. Drinking pop or fruit juice means more sugar, which means weight gain, which means testosterone loss. Drop 5 lbs and you'll notice a difference.

Lastly, take care of your straws. The ones that feed your heart and brain are fairly large. The one that feeds your sexual organ is the size of a coffee stirrer.

"A little bit of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, it's going to damage the small straw first," Dr. Moyad said. And he had some final parting words: "Take care of your tiny straw first!"
