Gearing up for 21-Day Challenge - what you need to know

We're kicking off our 21-day Challenge to get everybody in shape for spring and summer.
Starting Monday, May 2nd we reboot our challenge and kick off our 21 days.  We have five simple Dos and Don'ts to follow. 
Let's talk about the five Dos and five Don'ts.
Lean proteins
Whole grains
Soda (diet and regular!) 
White flour products
Fried foods
Optional don't: alcohol.
Our wellness coach from Providence Hospital, Shannon Pearce, gives general rules to follow at the grocery store. She points out that if our plate should be 50% vegetables, so should our cart! Get creative and find ways to work veggies into every meal.  Nurse Shannon also pointed out that reading labels can be complicated - so your best bet?  Get food that doesn't have a label!  Apples, bananas, peas... your real food won't have a label and it's the best food for your body!  If you buy food with a label, watch out for high sodium, high sugar and ingredients that you can't recognize!
