Are you thinking of giving the gift of fitness this season? You don't have to wait until the new year to get a little health kick in your life.

Twyfit joins us with some workout gift ideas for the holidays. For more information on Twyfit, located in Clawson, visit www.twyfit.com.

1. In home fitness:

You can start with small stocking stuffers like a jump rope, resistance band, hand weights or a Physio ball for the beginner for under $50.

The next level would be fitness machines such as home gyms or cardio pieces like a treadmill or elliptical which can be several hundred to several thousands.

Another option. Is to hire a trainer to come to the home.

If it is a trainer you want to make sure they are certified by a reputable organization such as ACE, NASM or ACSM and are currently insured.

2. Fitness Gadgets

For someone looking to track their progress there are a myriad of fitness trackers that sync with your phone. There are the simpler ones as low as $79 on up to the most advanced items which can run several hundred dollars.

3. Gym Memberships/programs

Most gyms and studios offer memberships and/ or packages for fitness classes and personal training. Shop around to find a place you think your loved one will feel comfortable with. For someone who does not like the big crowd a smaller studio may be a better choice.
