New study: Exercise key in surviving first heart attack

In Health Works we're talking about the importance of exercise.

A new study says that the better shape you are in, the better chance you have of surviving your first heart attack.

The study took into account 1,000 patients, according to Dr. Clinton Brawner of Henry Ford Health System.

Brawner said that genetics made up one part of the results, but that how active we are is the main intervention we have to change our fitness. Those that are more fit are more active.

This February we are focusing on heart health and exercise is a big part of it.
