WomenHeart Support Network Monthly Group Meetings
Each month, the Women’s Heart Center now also offers women the opportunity to connect with others living with heart disease who are dedicated to improving their cardiovascular health. WomenHeart meetings, held from 6 to 8 p.m. monthly at the Center for Athletic Medicine in Detroit’s Midtown neighborhood, offers a place for women to discuss topical issues and share tips on improving their health. Each meeting will have a brief talk and Q & A by a healthcare professional, followed by time for group members to share ideas and experiences on living with chronic heart disease. The meetings will be facilitated by two WomenHeart Champions, Henry Ford patient survivors who will share their own stories and approaches to living with heart disease.
The new Henry Ford Women’s Health Center is supported by one of the oldest, most experienced and advanced cardiovascular programs in the nation, the Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.
