(WJBK) - Norfolk Southern is hiring a Casualty Claims Trainee to join the company in Detroit. Candidate must have a bachelor's degree and a strong interest in pursuing this type of work. All majors considered for this position. Claim Agents are responsible for investigating, evaluating and settling casualty matters brought against NS for incidents involving property damage, personal injury or death arising from company operations. Trainees start at a competitive salary of $50,000, upon completion of the program Claim Agents will receive a salary increase to $54,000. This is a non-agreement position, employees will be eligible for the company bonus program, as well as, the merit increase opportunity.
