Detroit councilwoman wants transparency on tinted window issue

After months of trying to get Detroit City Council woman Mary Sheffield to call back, she finally reached out - but not to answer questions, to call Fox 2 out.

Sheffield recently avoided questions by M.L. Elrick at Detroit City Hall about a photo on social media with Rayford Jackson who served a 5-year prison sentence after bribing former councilwoman Monica Conyers.

Sheffield refused to meet with Fox 2 and issued a statement in which she refused to make a statement about her connection to Jackson.

She responded to my report last week about Detroit City Council members driving city cars, like hers, with front windows that appear to be tinted illegally.

Sharp-eyed viewers brought this issue to our attention, so we had to check it out.

See what Sheffield had to say by watching M.L. Elrick's full report above.
