Woman gunned down in parking lot of talent agency in Troy, suspect sought

Troy police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death in her car Saturday.

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Jamila Monet Vigier-Cage of Auburn Hills.  Police found her shot to death inside of her vehicle around 6 p.m. Saturday.

It happened in the parking lot of a talent agency called One Source, about a quarter mile down on Industrial Row off of Coolidge next to the Meijer.

Police are having a hard time finding witnesses to the shooting with any knowledge has been difficult so far.

Valerie Bradley, the mother of one of the employees of One Source says, "she told me you are not going to be able to get down through there, they blocked it off because a girl got shot in the parking lot out there."

The victim according to the police was found in the driver's seat of a car in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

"The window was broken when they noticed anything and when they went out there at six or something on her last break that's when they noticed that she was dead," says Bradley.

Sgt. Andy Breidenich with Troy PD says, "We are trying to follow up on any leads, connections at the business family type and then go from there."

Police say though not confirmed that the victim may have known the shooter.

Sources say the victim is from the Pontiac area and is mother of a 7-month-old.  As for the shooter, police say they have no description of a car or anything else to release at this point.
