Six exquisite homes featured in tour

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WJBK) -- Tickets are now on sale for the 2015 Royal Oak Woman's Club Home Tour, which is Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The tour offers a rare opportunity to experience the craftsmanship, architecture and unique features of some of the most impressive homes in the city.

The six homes on the tour range from the 1920s to 2012. Highlights include:

The colorful home and studio of Royal Oak artist Laurie Eisenhardt whose work has been featured in Detroit Home.

A historic home originally part of the Lawson Farm. This home features early-American décor along with hand-painted details on select walls and floors.

A modern, custom-built live/work space with one-of-a-kind details.

A 1920s charmer with a wrap-around porch and a tranquil deck off the back. This home also includes a workshop above the garage for the welding and woodworking projects.

A newer construction Hillan built home that is a 21st century update of a 19th century farmhouse.

A spacious Northwood Boulevard home with a unique floor plan. This modern twist on the Neo-French style includes a striking basement entertainment area.

The self-guided tour starts at the Royal Oak Woman's Club, 404 S. Pleasant Street. Trained attendants will direct and educate participants at each site. Gardens of select homes will also be open to tour.

A limited number of tickets will be available the day of the tour. Tickets will be $25 and only available at the Royal Oak Woman's Club. Cash, check and credit cards will be accepted.
