3-year-old girl dies after drunken driving crash in Pontiac

A 3-year-old girl who was on life support after a drunken driving crash in Pontiac has been pronounced dead, according to Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe. 

Officials in Pontiac say a woman who tested at almost twice the legal limit for alcohol ran a red light and crashed into a van at South Boulevard and Woodward Avenue. Four passengers were in the van, including 3-year-old Tabatha Brown of Waterford Township. 

Police say 24-year-old Iesha Barnes was given a breath test, which registered at .156. On Monday, Barnes was arraigned on charges of causing serious injury which carry a five year felony. She's being held on a $500,000 bond.

Meanwhile, Tabatha's mother is also in the hospital. Tabatha's uncle and cousin were also critically injured in the crash.

Authorities will review the case regarding possible additional or amended charges for Barnes.
