African American History Event: "Grouping It Up"

DETROIT (WBJK) -- A big event will take place on Saturday, February 28 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History to pay tribute to three music legends.

The event called "Grouping It Up" gives young local music hopefuls an opportunity to showcase their talents, and it's a great way to observe Black History Month.

The event is hosted by Offsprings of Legends, the daughters of Ray Charles, Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke.

The showcase will also raise funds for the museum.

The event begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Charles H. Wright Museum. General admission is $25, VIP tickets are $55.
