When we first introduced you to the Williams family back in December, Danielle was 7 months pregnant. We were at a blood drive to raise awareness for a rare blood disorder called Diamond-Blackfan anemia.
Their 2-year-old daughter, Peyton, is one in 800 people in North America to be diagnosed with it. She needed repeated blood transfusions to stay alive.
The Williams were told it was unlikely their new baby would be diagnosed with the same disorder, and ultrasounds which are 95 percent accurate showed it would be a baby girl. So they were prepared for baby Charlee's arrival.
But on March 3 at 5:02 a.m. they got a big surprise! The baby was, in fact, a boy.
Bentley Thomas Williams was born healthy and happy, weighing in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces.
Kyle and Danielle have since had fun announcing the birth, and taping the reactions.
The Williams are now adjusting to having an infant in the house again and Peyton is proving to be a great big sister.
Besides having to transition pink out of little Bentley's baby room and closet, life couldn't be better.
The odds are in their favor.
