Body found in burned minivan in west Detroit

Detroit police say once firefighters put out a burning minivan Friday morning, they found a body inside the vehicle.

Police and fire officials were called to the intersection of Kendall and Westbrook around 9:30 Friday morning. The fire department put the flames out and found the body inside the van.

Neighbors said they noticed the car around 11:00 Thursday night and it was just sitting there on the street.

Police tell FOX 2 they do not have a name or even a gender of person found inside the van.
