Catholic school teacher pleads guilty after relationship with student

An area teacher accused of having sexual relations with her student at the student's home has pleaded guilty.

Kathryn Ronk pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct Wednesday morning in Macomb County Circut Court. Her sentencing has been scheduled for July 1.

Ronk had previously pleaded guilty to similar charges in Oakland County, where she was accused of having sex with the 15-year-old student in her classroom. She has been sentenced to 6-15 years in prison for those crimes.

Ronk was employed as a Spanish teacher at Bishop Foley High School in Madison Heights. She began teaching at the school in 2013 and was let go in early 2014.
