It happened Monday night at a home on Fenton on Detroit's west die. 40-year-old Cornel Lewis was shot and killed after getting into an argument with his wife, Jacqueline.
"I saw them outside yesterday (Monday) shoveling the snow as a family," said a neighbor who asked not to be identified. "They looked like they were having words."
Police say the argument had carried over from the day before. Neighbors say that's nothing new and the two argued often.
"I know when they first moved in back in July we heard argument so I think they always did argue," said another neighbor.
Neighbors say she was a stay at home mom while he bought and sold cars. Now they worry for the children who may have lost both parents. Fortunately the 8-year-old, she is expected to be okay after being hospitalized Monday night.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office says it has received a warrant but charges have not been filed as of Tuesday evening.
