Eminem surprises Livonia movie audience

Surprise! Eminem and actor Jake Gyllenhaal made a surprise visit to a screening of the new movie, "Southpaw" Sunday night at the AMC Livonia 20 theater.

The rapper and the actor were introduced to the audience by Bushman of WJLB-FM. The visit wasn't announced beforehand. 

A studio representative said both stars wanted to surprise fans in Eminem's hometown of metro Detroit.

Eminem told the crowd, "I'm super excited to be a part of it." The lead role in the film was originally written for Eminem, but when he dropped out,

Gyllenhaal took over the part. Eminem produced the soundtrack. "Southpaw" opens on Friday.
