Fire destroys apartment in Novi

A 16 unit apartment complex in Novi was destroyed Saturday night after a fire ripped through the building.

The Novi Fire Department was dispatched to a 16 unit apartment fire in the 20000 block of Woodland Glen Drive around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night. 

According to officials, there were no injuries however, all 16 units were reported damaged or destroyed, with twelve of the units being occupied.

The Red Cross responded with a Disaster team and an Emergency Response Vehicle , to assist with short term needs of Clothing,
food, and short term housing  needs if needed. 

Fire officials say there were no injuries to any of the residents, however it is believed that possibly up to three pets may have perished in the fire.
