Frank Murphy Hall of Justice still open after flooding

Emergency crews are on-hand at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice in Detroit after parts of the building flooded Tuesday morning.

FOX 2's Roop Raj is on scene and says six courtrooms have been damaged. We're told the courthouse will still be operational Tuesday, and the proceedings inside the damaged courtrooms will be relocated.

"There are no cases cancelled today. Everything is fully operational, and we will be fully operational tomorrow and the rest of the week as well," says Chief Judge Pro Tem Timothy Kenny. He says the floods may have stemmed from a problematic water pressure released valve.

Several emergency restoration vehicles are there that specialize in water damage.

The Frank Murphy Hall of Justice is located on St. Antoine Street at Gratiot Avenue.
