Funeral services for local killed in Amtrack crash

Mourners will pay their final respects Monday to a Huntington Woods native killed in the Amtrak derailment in Philadelphia.

Rachel Jacobs was on her way home to Manhattan when a train traveling twice the speed limit derailed.

The 39-year-old had recently become chief executive of an online apprenticeship service in Philadelphia.

She is also the founder of the web-based group Detroit Nation.

Funeral services begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ira Kaufman Chapel on Nine Mile Road in Southfield.

Jacobs leaves behind a husband and 2-year-old son.
