Lions get visit from Martha Ford at minicamp

A special visitor was at the Detroit Lions minicamp on Tuesday.

Martha Ford paid the Lions a visit as the team ran through a battery of drills, which wasn't too rare. But she did speak to the media.

Ford quipped about her efforts to get Ndamukong Suh to stay during free agency.

"Two weeks later, he left," she said.

Head Coach Jim Caldwell said it was nice to have her there and that she knows her football.

"When we do talk, it may be about a player or two," he said. "She's on top of it."
