WEB UPDATE (10:25): Detroit police say they have found the missing baby and arrested the mother.

The baby, 11-month-old Savanna Rayford, has now been taken to the hospital. The mother, Marquita Dupree has been taken into custody. Police say the two were found in a house on the east side of the city.

Dupree allegedly has mental health issues, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Police have not released information detailing where or when the mother or child were found as of yet.

DPD issued an Amber Alert for an abducted 11-month-old baby earlier on Tuesday night.

Police say that Dupree, the biological mother of the baby, abducted her from her foster mother. They were last seen at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the area of I-94 and Moross. Dupree did not have legal custody of the baby.

The incident happened after a trip to the doctor with the foster mother, when Dupree abducted her on foot

"That was when the foster mom stopped the car, the biological mom took her out of the seat and walked down Moross," a spokesperson with Detroit police said.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the child was in need of medication and has sickle-cell anemia.
