FBI still seeking tips after suspicious liquid poured on food at Whole Foods store

- The FBI says it is receiving many tips after they put out a call to find a man who is suspected of attempting to contaminate food products in a local store.

The FBI says a man was observed sprinkling a liquid on unpackaged foods in a Washtenaw County grocery store. That store has been identified as the Whole Foods Market on Eisenhower in Ann Arbor.

"Out of an abundance of caution, all salad and hot food bars were immediately closed down at the store, all food was thrown out and the store team thoroughly cleaned and sanitized all food stations, equipment and serving utensils before restocking with fresh items," a representative from Whole Foods said in a statement. You can read their full statement below.

Although preliminary tests on the liquid came back negative for harmful substances, the FBI's Detroit division is seeking to identify and speak to the individual.

This is a developing story. Stay with FOX 2 for updates. Those who are able to identify the man or have any additional information should call the FBI at (855) 324-7257.
