1 suspect caught, 1 at large in abduction, murder of 13-year-old

- Detroit Police have arrested two suspects connected to the kidnapping and death of a 13-year-old Detroit boy.

A third suspect, 51-year-old Roy Portis, is still wanted by police.

According to police, 45-year-old Gregory Walker was arrested in Toledo Thursday morning. Walker and a female companion were both arrested in Toledo.  A second suspect, 30-year-old Ernest Coleman, was arrested at his home later Thursday afternoon.

During a press conference on Thursday, Detroit Police Chief James Craig would not elaborate into how Walker and his companion were arrested but did say they were taken in without incident.

Tips led police to search a field near Gratiot and Harper. Thursday afternoon, the Medical Examiner confirmed a body found in the field was Deontae Mitchell.

Portis is 51, 6'1", 180 lbs. Portis' photo was released by Detroit Police and is posted below:

Detroit police did not elaborate how the Portis or Coleman were involved in the boy's abduction.

The 13-year-old boy was abducted from Nino's on Warren on the city's east side around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Late Wednesday, police identified the suspect as 45-year-old Gregory Walker.

On Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the 5200 block of Manistique. Detroit Police Chief James Craig said a firearm was recovered in their search but cannot confirm it is the one the suspect is seen carrying in the video.

Mitchell was with his cousin riding their bikes on east Warren when it's believed Walker grabbed him by the arm and forced him into the vehicle.

Walker was seen on video carrying a nickel-plated revolver and has a history of crimes and is on parole for grand theft auto.
