16-year-old Ann Arbor student hit, killed by car outside high school

Authorities are investigating after they say a 16-year-old male was hit and killed by a car Tuesday morning.

Ann Arbor police tell FOX 2 the boy was hit when he was crossing Fuller Street out front of Huron High School Ann Arbor around 7:30 a.m.

We're told the driver did stop at the scene and the road outside the high school is closed as police investigate.

The boy's name has not yet been given, but police confirm he was a student within the Ann Arbor Public School District.

"This area here by Huron High School is definitely an area that should have a light for pedestrians. Period. There's so many people walking across that road," a concerned parent, Lauren Sargent, tells us.

This is a developing story. Stay with FOX 2 for updates.
