- A manhunt continues in Warren for a man police said brutally killed a grandmother last Wednesday.

Police say this suspect should be considered armed and very dangerous -- and if you live in the area you need to be on the lookout.

The FBI's Macomb Residency confirms they are now aiding in the manhunt of 34-year-old Anthony Iannotti. He was let out of jail on a tether Wednesday for allegedly strangling his 21-year-old-wife in their Warren home, according to Warren Mayor Jim Fouts. Against court order, Iannotti returned to the house.

"They let him out on the condition he would not go to his wife's home. Instead he went to the home and police were notified he broke his agreement," Fouts said.

His tether was cut and when he didn't find his wife, he went to the apartment of 62-year-old Dona Lawrence.

Iannotti allegedly killed her in such a brutal way, police have yet to release the full details to the public.

"He's been know to fly in fits of rage," Fouts said.

Police said Iannotti then stole Lawrence's station wagon. It was found dumped in a Royal Oak Township parking lot Saturday morning. Then Iannottii was spotted. Mayor Fouts said he approached the home of his in-laws, where his wife is in hiding.

"The father allegedly then panicked and pulled out the gun and fired a couple of rounds at him," he said. "Didn't hit him. And he disappeared into the wooded area."

Police searched the area for hours, then got a call Saturday afternoon for another case of shots fired at a storage yard on Auburn and Utica, a block away from the home where Iannotti was last spotted.

Twelve patrol cars responded, but the case of reckless discharge turned out to be unrelated. One man was taken into custody.

"I'm saying to anybody in Macomb County or Oakland County, we don't know where he is, we think he's still in the area, that you should proceed with caution," Fouts said. "You shouldn't approach him."
