WHITE LAKE TWP., Mich. (WJBK) - A female employee finds a hidden camera tucked in the ladies' room at a local car dealership.
Now at least one employee is being questioned and police have found more evidence of the peeping tom.
The camera was aimed right underneath a stall door in the ladies room, discovered by a female employee of Szott Chrysler Jeep in White Lake Township on Wednesday.
Police are questioning a male employee.
"He's been with us for quite a while," said Thad Szott of the Szott Auto Group. "It's been very troubling and certainly everybody is shocked."
Police say in addition to the camera they discovered two devices used to store electronic files.
"All of those items will be given to the sheriff's department," said Police Chief Adam Kline, White Lake Township. "So we can look at it forensically to see what items are on the camera and see what was disseminated from there.
"We're looking at a felony already, we could be looking at multiple felonies depending how many people were photographed, how much has been disseminated whether there were any minors were involved, we're unsure at this time."
Meanwhile the employee has been placed on paid administrative leave as the dealership decides how to take precautions so something like this doesn’t happen again.
"We're going to take everything into consideration that the police informs us with," said Szott. "And see if there is there anything we can do to improve."
