2 men shot on Detroit's west side at McNichols and Puritan

Two men were shot on Detroit's west side, near west McNichols and Puritan.

It happened Tuesday morning around 10:45 in the 16100 block of Stoepel as investigators look into who pulled the trigger and why.

Both victims are males in their 50s, one of them is in critical condition, the other one listed in stable condition.

Cayla Dean works down the street.

"I just heard about roughly five shots at least," Dean said.

Dean described a chaotic scene immediately after the shooting, before police arrived.

"People were just running and scattering, people were driving off and leaving," she said.

A dark colored Dodge Caravan was towed into evidence while police gather clues.

"It's usually pretty quiet," Dean said. "It's kind of scary I got into this job and there is some shooting is going on down the street."
