MI man in Halloween mask robberies on the run from police in Ohio

WEB: Brown County Sheriff's Department says that Todd Keith has escaped after being pinned down in a field near the Kentucky border.

Keith exchanged gunfire with deputies before escaping in a field outside Aberdeen Village, Ohio. He was believed to be armed with a handgun and hunting rifle. 

A Michigan man involved in a Detroit area crime spree wearing a Halloween mask has continued in Ohio.

Now FOX 2 has gotten reports that Todd Keith's suspected crime spree has stretched into southern Ohio, allegedly robbing a bank in Delaware County at 2 p.m. Friday.

At 5:43 p.m. Brown County Sheriff's Department said he is surrounded in a field outside Aberdeen and believe he was trying to cross into Kentucky.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department was involved with a chase in the suspect who ditched a stolen black Lexus in Aberdeen city.  Keith, 37, got out on foot and there is a search going on right on now.

He allegedly robbed banks at in Tiffin, Ohio and in Brown County Friday morning. 

Police say he is not yet in custody. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $1,500 reward for anyone who can help to locate Keith.

Keith is wanted in two hotel robberies in Livonia, in a Walgreens robbery in Brownstown Charter Township and in a carjacking of a black Lexus in Madison Heights.

Keith was driving the stolen black Lexus with the license plate BGQ815.

The FBI is offering a $1,500 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

Keith is described as a 37-year-old white male who is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 230 lbs. He has black hair and hazel eyes.

Keith is also being charged with two counts of bank robbery in earlier incidents that took place on September 30 and October 3 in Ypsilanti in which the suspect used a long gun, resembling a hunting rifle.
