New Chick-fil-As in Mich. open Oct. 13

FOX 2's Ryan Ermanni takes us to the grand opening of the Chick-fil-A inside Somerset Collection.

- The wait is finally over! The two new Chick-fil-A locations in Michigan will open on Thursday, October 13.

One of the locations is in Lansing and the other is inside the Somerset Collection in Troy.

The Lansing location, 5617 W. Saginaw Hwy. is expected to open around 6 a.m. The Troy location will open at 10 a.m. The Somerset Collection is located at 2800 W. Big Beaver Rd.

Both locations are a first of their kind in the state, and Chick-fil-A says they plan to bring about 15-20 other restaurants to Michigan within the next five years.

Chick-fil-A says they'll also be giving away free Chick-fil-A for a year at each location for the grand opening. To try and win, be the one of the first 100 adults through the door.

A family-friendly First 100 party will pop up at each location before the grand opening, where you can hang out (or camp out) and wait for the doors to open. For more information on the First 100 contest, visit

The new restaurants are expected to create 150 jobs.
