DETROIT (WJBK) - A woman and her brother were shot on Detroit's west side late Wednesday night, leaving the sister injured and the brother killed.
People living on Gladstone say they are sick and tired of the violence.
A man who lives down the street agreed to talk to us, as long as we didn't show his face.
"I did hear some shots. I heard like two shots in the middle of the night. And you know that's almost common around here because you hear shots or fireworks -- there's always some type of loud noise or disturbance," he said.
Investigators say the two victims -- both in their early 20s -- were sitting in a car when a man wearing a black mask opened the driver's side door and started shooting.
"To anybody on the streets, if somebody is coming at you with a mask on, they don't have no good intentions," the man down the street said.
People living in the area say this isn't the first time there has been a fatal shooting on this stretch of Gladstone.
"There's been block parties and stuff where people have not walked away from the party," said Ike Spillman, a neighbor.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5'8" to 6' feet, medium complexion wearing a black sweater and a black mask.
