That's all Detroit police have Friday trying to find who killed a 66-year-old woman on Detroit's west side Thursday night.

"I'm pretty sure he knows he hit something," said Dewilliam Pugh, witness. "He probably doesn't know it was a body. That's not right."

Police say a 66-year-old Detroit woman had been crossing the street just before 8 p.m. Thursday when it's believed a red truck hit her, along with another light-colored car.

One man tells FOX 2 the woman had just left the store near McNichols and Winston. And after being thrown into the middle of the road, police say the woman was run over at least five more times.

"I would not suggest that anyone was malicious or attempting to hit her," said Michael Woody, Detroit police media relations. "However it was an accident and we need to talk to those people involved,"

While Detroit police say the woman's body has not yet been identified and her family -- not yet notified... right now -- they say -- they don't have much to go on.

"This happened in an area where we don't have much access to video footage," Woody said. "We really are going to be leaning heavily on the community or anyone else in the area at that time."

But police say they were able to snap these photos -- of a man they believe stopped to try and help the woman... even blocking more cars -- from running her over.

Detroit police are now asking this man to come forward, along with anyone who recognizes this truck... to speak up.

"These are the people on the scene," Woody said. "That can come forward and give as much info as they possibly can."

The red colored SUV and light colored car may have damage. Call Detroit police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP if you have information.
