DETROIT (WJBK) - Three Detroit firefighters have been injured on the job Monday morning, an authority with the Detroit Mayor's office tells FOX 2.
FOX 2's Charlie Langton is on the scene and reports the firefighters were injured while fighting a fire at a home at Harmon and Brush streets, which is on the city's east side near Oakland Avenue and Caniff Street.
All three firefighters have been transported to the hospital. We're told two suffered back injuries and the other sustained burns to the face.
Deputy Fire Commissioner David Fornell tells us their injuries are not life-threatening.
FOX 2 was originally told the home was unoccupied, but Fornell tell us firefighters had to make sure occupants were out when they arrived.
It's also not known at this time what caused the fire, which started around 8 a.m.
