Detroit police issue arrest order for anti-Trump protesters blocking freeways

Detroit police have given an order to arrest protesters  blocking freeways Friday night.

The arrest order was issued once police became privy to some social media messages about the planned planned protests. Police say some organizers spoke about wanting to block freeway traffic, which has been seen in other cities that have seen large post-election protests like Los Angeles, recently.

On Wednesday morning one man was struck by vehicle when a large group blocked traffic on Oakland, California.

A Detroit police spokesperson said that the reason for the arrests will be for the safety of the protestors as well as those other civilians not taking part in the protests if they venture onto the freeway.

Hundreds of protesters have gathered the past two nights at Wayne State University with organized anti-Trump shows of dissatisfaction at the election results and out of concern for the country.
