Owner says vengeful customer shot up his Detroit car dealership

The owner, employees and several customers were inside when the bullets came flying.

- The owner of a used car dealership in Detroit is offering a $5,000 reward after he says an argument with a customer led to a drive-by shooting. The side of Elite Auto on Woodward Avenue near Seven Mile Road is now riddled with bullet holes.

"I want him. Five G's, baby!" Steve Bahoura says.

Tuesday, a customer had a car towed to the Elite Service Center and Collision. The car's owner and her boyfriend asked for a rental, but were told there wasn't a vehicle available for them. That's when they took their complaint down the street to the dealership. Bahoura admits that's when things got heated and the customer left.

"He was like, "You know what? I'm gonna get back at you.' I said, 'No problem! I close at 6 o'clock.' Know what I mean? No problem. I didn't know he meant, I'm gonna get back at you I'm going to come shoot at you," Bahoura says.

The owner, employees and several customers were inside when the bullets came flying. A woman was even outside, terrified, when the gunshots rang out.

"I had seven innocent customers inside. What did the customers do to you? The customers didn't do nothing to them [sic]. He has the beef with me. I mean, why didn't you come and confront me?" Bahoura asks.

Elite has hired more security and is offering the $5,000 reward. Anyone who has any information is asked to call Detroit police, who is also on the case.
