Accident victim grabs gun, robs driver that backed into his car

- Detroit police are investigating an armed robbery that happened after a car crash on the city's northwest side last month.

Police say a 25-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were involved in a car accident on July 23. Surveillance video released by the police shows the 25-year-old man, who was driving the car, back into a parked tan Toyota.

A man and a woman were sitting in the parked Toyota. They got out of the car, and police say they proceeded to rob the people in the other car at gunpoint.

The 25-year-old man can been seen handing over an item in the surveillance video, and he appears to take a purse from the woman. You can watch the surveillance video in the player above.

The suspects are described as a black male wearing a white tee shirt and black shorts, and a black female wearing a blue dress. The pair drove off in the tan Toyota, which should have rear passenger-side damage.
