Car accident leads to armed robbery in NW Detroit

- A minor car accident in a northwest Detroit parking lot led to an armed robbery.

The incident happened on Puritan at 2:30 a.m. July 23 when a woman and man inside a vehicle struck another car. The driver and passenger of the second car robbed them at gunpoint.

The entire scene was captured on camera.

The suspects are described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts and a black female wearing a blue dress. The pair escaped in a tan Toyota, it should have rear passenger side damage.
