3 arrested after bakery break-in, shooting and chase in Warren

- Police have taken three men into custody after a break-in at a bakery in Warren overnight. The men were taken into custody after trying to run over the officers, and after leading them on a chase into Detroit.

Police say the break-in happened at Sweet Dreams bakery at 13 Mile and Ryan roads around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Officers arrived at the scene while the suspects were still there.

Police say the suspects tried to run over the officers, so officers fired multiple shots. One of the suspects was hit in the arm. The injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.

All the suspects then took off in a stolen Jeep.

Officers followed the driver, who wouldn't pull over. The driver led police into Detroit, and eventually crashed in the area of I-94 and Conner Street, which is about 15 miles away from the bakery.

Police were able to take all three suspects into custody.

The suspects are believed to be involved in at least 5-10 other recent break-ins in the area.
