3 child luring incidents reported in Washtenaw, Livingston counties

The Washtenaw and Livingston County sheriff's offices are asking for public's help after three recent attempted child luring incidents.

The offices are working in conjunction together on the separate incidents which began Aug. 26.

In Washtenaw County the incident happened in the area of Orchard Street and Portage Lake Avenue in Dexter Township Aug. 27 at about 9 p.m.

A 9-year-old was riding his bike when the driver of a white cargo van got out and told him to get inside. A second person got out of the van from the front passenger door but did not say anything. The child fled and reported the incident.  The van was reported to be a white cargo style with no windows.

In all three incidents the suspects targeted white male children between 4 and 12 years old.

Other children have described the suspect's vehicle as a mini-van. No other information is available regarding the other Livingston County incidents.

The driver of the suspect's vehicle is described as a white male, about 20 years old with no facial hair, thin build, black sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and unknown color of hair.

No physical description is available for the second suspect.
