3 stabbed at apartment complex in Garden City

Garden City police say they have a person of interest in custody Sunday night who they believe is responsible for the stabbing of 3 people overnight at an apartment complex on Pardo Street.

41-year-old Marlin Jermaine Day was taken into custody without incident Sunday night Fox 2 is told. 

Police say the incident occurred about 10 p.m. 

According to the report, witnesses stated that a 24-year-old woman came home and was attacked by a homeless man that is known to the complex. Witnesses reported that her yelling and fighting brought other apartment tenants to come to her aide.

According to witnesses, those who rushed to help the woman were then met by the man who stabbed three of them. According to police a 45-year-old woman, a 21-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman all received non-life threatening stab wounds.
