Police investigating after wandering 3-year-old is reunited with father

UPDATE: (9:34 p.m.) Police say no criminal charges will be filed against the parents of the girl found wandering on Detroit's east side.

Investigators say that the mother and grandma were home, but the grandmother had left for work. At that time the 3-year-old girl walked off. 

Child Protective Services will be investigating, but investigators say the home appeared in good order and that police had never been called there before.

UPDATE (5:42 p.m.): Her father has arrived at the precinct, and police are investigating the incident.

A lost 3-year-old was found wandering on the east side of Detroit Thursday afternoon.

The little girl was found in the area of Hoover and E. State Fair at 3:15 p.m. A resident spotted her and brought her to the 9th Precinct.
